Well, where do you start? Singer, songwriter, disturbed soul, you name it…it’s in there somewhere.
Shaun was born in Farnham, Surrey in the United Kingdom. He now lives in Norwich, Norfolk with his Angel (his wife, Michelle).
Shaun started his singing and songwriting journey just under four years ago when he decided he needed a new direction. So he purchased his first guitar. His prized (although inexpensive) Hohner Countryman acoustic guitar. This was the start of a journey….one that was wholly unexpected. He had also met his Angel at this point in his life, who provided the inspiration for his first song.
Having started guitar lessons in his late thirties for the first time and inspired by his lovely Angel, and also his guitar tutor (soon also to be his producer), Shaun started to songwrite, not even sure if he could sing! It soon transpired that he could. After some hard graft, and practising on his guitar, the track "Angel" was born and went out to the world in November 2009.
Shaun soon realised that this was a path he was meant to follow and in late 2009, he released his second track, Heroin of the Soul.
Both tracks were released via his music webpage (www.reverbnation.com/shauncbryant) to the usual online retailers such as iTunes and Amazon MP3.
Shaun then took a break over the Christmas and New Year period to start writing some new material for an EP later in 2010 and his third track, Where Is The Love?, was released at the end of March 2010. An up-tempo, melodic rock track with a very strong social message, it will be the third track on his EP due out towards the end of autumn 2010.
On April 16th, 2010, Shaun played a live acoustic set on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on the Sue Marchant Show on 16th April to promote the new track, Where Is The Love?, which went on sale on his ReverbNation page at the same time, both as a physical CD as well as downloads. The show was broadcast to the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Norfolk regions of the UK to thousands of listeners.
Shaun has developed a close knit group of fans from across the world from Chile to Kuwait and even as far as New Zealand, who have provided him with support and good wishes for his musical journey.
Shaun is currently working on a band project, collaborating with some musical friends, and is hoping to play some live sets locally in Norfolk in the summer.
